F1.8 is a sans-serif font featuring strokes of uniform width, adhering to the fundamental rules of mechanical engraving typefaces.

Unlike F5.6, which incorporates visual adjustments, F1.8 pursues a character design that can be faithfully reproduced purely through mechanical machining. Although initially intended as an updated version of F5.6, the concept shifted significantly, leading to its release as a distinct font.
