About C059
C059 is a transitional serif typeface from URW++ included in the URW Base35 open-source font package, a set of 35 fonts metrically compatible with the PostScript Level 2 core font set. Serving as a free alternative to Century Schoolbook, C059 features wide letterforms, generous x-height, and sturdy strokes that make it highly legible for textbooks, children's literature, and body text applications.
